Alex emigrated to Australia as a child, and his first employment was with Dunlop Tyre ( Australia ) as a Junior Engineer. During his employment with Dunlop, Alex gradually rose through the ranks to become Dunlop’s Chief Engineer, and continued that role with South Pacific Tyres when the Joint Venture with Goodyear Tire and Rubber was promulgated. Alex was Jack St George’s Chief Engineer at SPT, and, on retirement, commenced employment with Asiatech Consulting. Alex has enormous experience in the practical issues of Engineering, and was once described by Tom Fry, Goodyear’s Chief Engineer, as “ The best engineer in the Southern Hemisphere .
Alex holds Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering degrees from Melbourne University.
