Jack founded Asiatech Consulting in 1999 prior to his initial work in China. His experience is very broad in the Manufacturing field, having worked as a Partner initially with Industrial Consultants Pty Ltd (Australia’s senior consultancy in Industrial Operations) and subsequently working as senior manufacturing executive with South Pacific Tyres, a Pacific Dunlop & Goodyear JV based in Melbourne, and with sales of some A$1.6 Billion.
SPT ran five major tyre plants in Australia and New Zealand, 19 retread factories, one aircraft retread factory and 850+ tyre retail stores. During his time with SPT, Jack also ran all of the engineering subsidiaries, including Hamill Engineering which maintained all equipment and moulds owned by SPT.
Following his SPT experience, Jack managed all of Pacific Dunlop’s overseas plants in what is a widely diversified conglomerate, with 176 plants located outside Australia and sales of A$6.1 Billion.
In China, Jack was General Manager of Guizhou Tyre Corporation, and started up and operated for three years the Guizhou Tyre Corporation radial truck tyre factory. Asiatech’s personnel ran all major functions in this plant, training senior personnel and handing the plant back to Chinese government control once the plant achieved US$86 million sales and US$18 million profitability.
In 2007 the GuiZhou Tyre Corp. was ranked 33d of the world top tyre producers with sales of US $440 m and production volume of 3.9 million tyres per year.
Jack holds a Degree in Production Engineering from RMIT Melbourne.
